Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shared the shocking arrest of one of the church’s pastors abroad for greeting a gathering with “ladies and gentlemen.”
During the RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service in Lagos, Pastor Adeboye explained that the phrase was deemed discriminatory, as it failed to recognize other gender identities acknowledged in the host country’s culture. Highlighting the incident, Adeboye warned of the rapid moral and cultural shifts happening globally, emphasizing the need for Christians to remain steadfast in their faith.
The clergyman also recounted a troubling story of a woman who referred to her dog as her husband, further underscoring his concerns about the erosion of traditional values. Pastor Adeboye interpreted these events as clear signs of the end times, urging believers to take their spiritual commitments seriously.
He cautioned those “playing church” to reflect on their faith, reminding them that Jesus’s return is imminent and calling on all to prepare for the kingdom of God.
